Possible Automatic Transmission Teardown

So a while back, I replaced my stock driveshaft with the axle exchange one piece. Since then there has been this rattle and whine that has progressively gotten louder over time. It sounds like it's coming from under my center console. When I get under the vehicle, I do the usually check to see if either end of the driveshaft has any play in it. Where the driveshaft meets the transmission, there was more lateral and vertical play than I'm comfortable with. I believe that's were my sound is coming from. I really hope it's just the u-joint, but the way it moved, I feel like it's something internal to the transmission. I believe the transmission output shaft has both a bearing and a bushing. I'm going to reinstall the stock driveshaft sometime this coming week. If the sound goes away, I'll know it's the u-joint. If not, fun times ahead. My pinion angle was within spec, so I feel like I may have done something during the one piece driveshaft install to cause this. I'll keep you guys updated

The yoke, which is why I feel like it's not the u-joint but something internal to the transmission

Sounds like a bad output shaft bearing.

UPDATE: So I got back under the car and the amount of play at the transmission side was less than I had previously thought. Guess I was being paranoid. Decided to reinstall the stock driveshaft as planned. After I had done that, I took it for a test drive and the rattle and whine were still there. Threw it back on the lift to swap the driveshaft back. This is when I look over at my rear LCAs and remember that they have spherical bushings on the axle end. I think, what the hell, and drop that side to inspect the bushings. Sure enough, both are shot. I throw the stock LCAs on and now both the rattle and whine are gone. I have heard that the S197 chassis amplifies sound quite a bit and makes noises sound as if they're coming from somewhere else, but that was just crazy. Glad I didn't start tearing apart the transmission.
