I will work on that. I have tons of pics that could be shared. I have approximately 22K miles on the build. Just changed the gearing from 2.73 to 3.55, installed a Torsen diff, and went to an aluminum driveshaft. Currently in the process of doing a new tune with new ID 850 injectors and GT500 fuel pump.

No 1/4 mile yet. I like road courses so that is where I usually go.

What if you place the MAF before the turbo in an Intake of sorts?

Yes it will, 99% of factory turbo cars come like this. The turbo acts as a system, there is just as much air pre turbo as there is post turbo.
Draw through - Having the MAF pre turbo
Blow through - having the MAF post turbo.

One of the key perks of having the MAF post turbo is that in the event you blow a charge pipe, the car will still function, it just acts like an N/a motor. In draw through, if you blow a charge pipe, the MAF reads air pre turbo, adds fuel, that air never makes it to the engine bay, you're left with pig rich AFRs and a car that barely runs.

Blow through also allows a 100% VTA blow off valve, since you can vent excess air before it ever is even read by the MAF. Draw through requires a recirculating valve: You cannot bleed off air that has been measured by the MAF or it will bog the car by running rich.
This makes designing a custom turbo kit 100% easier as far as intake and cold side charge pipe placement is concerned.

Didn't know the science behind it but I've seen it on a bunch of cars, just didn't know THIS to make a comment so it's why I asked.

So from what your saying is Before the turbo is a Draw through system...and After the turbo is a Blow through...and between the two a Blow through set up is better. having the MAF sensor closer to the TB where it can read the true amount of air?

I dont believe its about reading the true amount of air, like i said, its not like any air gets lost between the turbo and TB. It is often times easier to tune, and of course the ease of making the kit, if a charge pipe blows ... Blow through is the preferred set up.

Sorry, I thought you meant specifically on the mustang :p
I was going to say it wouldn't work, mainly because the maf sensor doesn't reach that far :p

People like that make me not even want to be associated with mustang owners. Clearly they have 1) some sort of deep-seated insecurities and inferiority complex, 2) way too much free time on their hands.

It has nothing to do with the turbo kit. The same could happen with a pro charger. Fact is when you bring a 260 rwhp car to 350-400+ you need to have it properly tuned or else you will have issues like this come up. It's not as simple as bolting on the kit and going with stock reliability as many think.

That was one of the worst reads I have had, bar the v6 Mustang Haters Association.

No sponsorship from AeroCharger, but they were great to work with. I will open a new thread soon to show the build. They are not really into automotive applications although they have outstanding hardware.
