Grade 3 bearings. Hopefully I'll get the right clearance this time.

You're not really using that differential cover, are you?

Unlike the standard diff cover, it's got extra holes drilled in for the TA, plus once I purchase the watts link (next suspension part) it won't even show.
But to make a long story short, yes. I do plan on using it

Doesn't come in black? Lol

I admit ignorance when it comes to suspension.

Not that I was aware of.
I do plan on painting my axle housing black or silver, if that makes any difference :p

Plasti dip it. No one will notice. Plus when your car is low enough no one will ever see it. You can't see my diff cover unless you jack it way up and unload the axle.

OK, i know its already been beat to death, but i was just going through my tuning book again (slow at work this week since everyone is taking off for the long holiday) and i came across this section regarding O2 sensor placement and figured it may still be relevant since you're still turboing (you are still turboing right? I cant keep up).

Basically the excerpt says:

Exhaust backpressure can also be a concern for wideband oxygen sensors accuracy. Most windeband oxygen sensors are rated to operate between .8 and 1.3 Bar with reasonable accuracy. ( 1 bar is 14.5 psi, so 11.6 to 18.5 psi give or take). Error increases when operated outside of the normal pressure range. There is no sensitivity to pressure at stoichiometric conditions. The pressure sensitivity becomes becomes greater the further from stoich the engine is operated. Increases in pressure make the sensor read further from stoich - rich reads richer and lean reads leaner - For this reason, O2 sensors should be installed after the turbocharger to improve accuracy.

For those who dont know, the pressure in the exhaust manifold can easily be 1.5 to 2x what the pressure is in the intake manifold, assume what 10 psi would be in the EM and you can run outside O2 sensor range. Thats that though, no need to bring this back up and beat it further, i just wanted to actually quote the book i was trying to quote from memory before.

Engine Management, Advanced Tuning by Greg Banish for those interested.

As always with the awesome insight!
Speaking of O2 sensor placement, jms said they prefer the O2 sensors in the manifolds (before downpipe) rather than having both of em in the downpipe. they stated they'd rather have the ability to monitor both sides independently than have the O2 sensors both placed in the DP

And the guys didn't want to buy the brake shield and plates

MPT says the same thing as JMS about factory wideband O2 sensor placement for our cars on turbo setups. MPT told me they tried placing the sensors in a few different places and for best idle and drivability, stock location was best. I personally have stock WBO2's as per requested with an additional aftermarket WBO2 24" downstream of the turbo on the down pipe.

I hate that I just re-read most of this thread. Making me kick around asking my wife's aunt to let me know when her 2014 PP V6 Auto lease is up and how much the buyout on it would be... She and her husband are nutcases when it comes to maintenance and keeping everything pristine.

Lol no I need to get this 2000 up and running although I could flip it and make $5k+ on it once it is done. That would be the only way I'd get ANOTHER one. Her lease is like... still 2 years tho I think she has a 36 month lease with them.

Going to be hard to let go of a sub 40k New Edge numbered car that was "factory" supercharged tho.

Lol if I hadn't found a 34k original mile rare numbered car for the price I did that came factory supercharged.

But this is not my thread so I don't want to hijack it. Really does go to show just how good the Cyclone is tho. Kind of different and I'm sure there is more in it than 400/400 or so. I know the dyno is showing low and the car is probably stupid fast timeslip wise.

Would be really hilarious with a car like this to line up next to some jackass saying "shoulda bought a V8" and then put 2 bus lengths on him.

Would be a track race. Or a roll if you want. My 3rd gear is going out though so anything that means shifting from 2-3 i'm out. No matter how patient i am with that shift it just won't happen if i'm going hard.

You should come out to the Mather Autocross on August 1/2
