The 10-12 GT bumper is easily the best looking one for that body style IMO. Not smiley or anything like the others and just looks plain mean.

Update* I'm going with SSM reground turbo cams. Also going to be using longer valves instead of the lash caps. I just need to reassemble the heads so I can ship it to them.

You already know it haha

Only issue is I have to wait 1-2 months for the cams and valves.
Gotta ship those out Saturday after I assemble the heads

So spoke to tom at SSM
Due to design of the valvetrain, the motor won't be able to Rev as high as I had hoped for.
The way he described it, we have 4 cam phasers that weigh 8 lbs each that are being supported by a weak timing chain w/plastic tensioners. He said it's not wor th the added risk to Rev above 7k while boosted. The reason the 3.5 can Rev higher is because they only have 2 cam phasers (they don't have one on the exhaust cam)

What type of material do they make their gears from?

Billet something. not sure what alloy they use
They won't sell the design.
We're looking elsewhere for options.

Next up is a deep pan and dipstick

Also bought the materials for billet crank and oil gears.
We're working on getting something developed for our cars.

A message to those of you who are building your motors....

I'm currently working with a team to develop billet oil pump gears and crank gears for the 3.7 (I guess you could call me the advertising department). We are using 9310 Alloy for both sets of gears.

As of right now, we are gauging interest to see if anyone is interested. Inform anyone you know who is building their motor! We are trying to keep costs low, but there are some initial costs on our end that we are trying to offset.

working with Jack (JMPerformance), Terry Brown (ATL guy with the white wire tucked one who's helping me finish my motor and doing the wire tuck, and lost of other stuff), Miles (the machinist who is building an adapter for an M112 for his car), and me (your favorite slow red car )

alright, we crunched the numbers.
looking at about 550/set. that's for the oil pump gears and crank gear

links to coyote equivalents:
11-14 MMR 5.0 Mustang Coyote Billet crankshaft gear / sprocket [467891] - $239.99 : Modular Motorsports, Home of the Worlds Fastest Modular Engines
2011-16 5.0 Coyote MMR Hurricane Billet Oil Pump gears [400224] - $319.99 : Modular Motorsports, Home of the Worlds Fastest Modular Engines

keep in mind, these are far less produced than the coyotes, so the fact that we're able to get them to 550/ for both is intense.
we do need to make a total of 10, and we've already got 4 down. materials have already been purchased too.

So here's the game plan.
A prototype will be made for Jack (this process will take a month or two). He will test it out to ensure that everything is working. Once everything is confirmed that it works perfectly, we will start collecting payments for the sets and start production.

I'm looking to do a t56 swap in the near future (1 or 2 months).
I've currently got a 6r80 in my car, so I am missing a lot of the components for a manual car (pedal assembly, ecu for a manual car, brake reservoir, and a couple more small items). Instead of buying them, I wanted to see if anyone would be interested in swapping transmissions with me (this would be all stock parts for all stock parts) I'm not interested in keeping any aftermarket shifters or clutches as I'm going to have to get rid of them when the t56 goes in.

If anyone is interested, let me know.
The swap would be done in central Georgia, and the labor cost would be relatively low (we can talk about costs it in PM). So anyone from the surrounding area who's building a drag car, or just wants an auto, let me know.

I'm doing the t56 because I'm more interested in road racing, and the gearing for the v6 the mt82 is less than ideal for that type of racing...
