Congrats so you can get your new kit

Amazing that you can sell a incomplete turbo kit that was never ran on a dyno or on the street in a car after having it for sale for like a week. I'm jealous.

I couldn't sell my full turbo kit with name brand parts, a dyno sheet and ran on my car for 2 months before taken off and was advertised for 3 months. The craziest part is I wasnt asking much more then you and it was complete with gauges and instructions. SMH /end rant

Weekend of the 19th.
We will be installing my torque arm, swapping my trans to an mt82(for a t56 later), and installing motor mounts (which I'm buying from paul).

I've got a stock 3.7 and 5.0 flywheel. Does anyone know if I can use the 5.0 flywheel?

I also have a stock 5.0 clutch. Will I be able to drop that right in? Or do I need something special to make it work?

Thank ya

Geez, you don't look at a thread for a little under a year and suddenly there's 1000+ posts to catch up on...

I'll just sub to this now so that I don't have to waste 2 hours trying to play catch up again.

Good luck with the build, I'm looking forward to more updates.

One issue with us car guys. The build list is always changing; rarely is anything etched in stone on the list.

Pick your poison.

I'm pretty sure that you can't use the 5.0 flywheel on the 3.7. Otherwise I'm sure ford and aftermarket sales would advertise them as the same part numbers.

You definitely could have bought a Boss 302 for what you have in "the 227"

Yes, I'm well aware of that.
I sold everything and almost bought something else a year ago, but this is what I want.
I stuck with it and I'm slowly building it how I want it to be.

Mt82 is in the car. I'll do a detailed post tomorrow, I'm feeling pretty sick.

Car is misfiring above 5k rpm.
I'm assuming it's the crank relearn, but I'm not 100% sure. I'll worry about it later (I'm glad I made it home without throwing up all over myself... lol)

Talked to Terry and Tom (visited ssm, learned some cool things about the 2015s) about my build. Ofc Tom wanted to sell me a stroker :p he was a really nice guy, and was suggesting I do a big bore stroker (since I'm sleeving). I'm gonna look into it more before I jump the gun on anything. Terry thought it wasn't a bad idea either. Again, not doing anything yet. This is planning/researching.

Fell in love with this ford racing short throw shifter.
Gotta give it back tho.
May buy a mgw race spec shifter because I love the tight feel and short throw compared to stock.

Manual driving isn't bad at all.
Haven't stalled yet lol
Roll back isn't bad (I don't have hill assist because my abs doesn't work, I did a burnout once tho lol)
Overall I got much better by the time I got home.

Terry is a legend.
Had the trans out in literally 25 minutes.
He did 2 trans swaps and a nitrous install in 1 day.

Trans swaps are easy once you've done a few. There all pretty similar. Awd and fwd systems get more complex but not much.

Well yes. I simply meant the instal lol. If I went from auto to manual I would probably be pulling computers from the junk yard

Do you plan on buying the 4.0 stroker kit for the twin turbo setup?

If he's going twin turbos he should get the kit that utilizes scat parts. I have used scat cranks and rods on several motors and they have always held more than rated power. Which is a great bonus for longevity of the motor. The scat crank is rated at 1000hp which I doubt you can even pull from that block without having a catastrophic failure.

Just my .02

Finished painting my dash red w black rings to see how it looks.
I think it's too much red, gonna try the inverse (black dash with red rings). I've got more than enough paint to do that.

Also, upr motor mounts will go in either the 28th or 29th. I'm debating picking up the whiteline transmission mount. Anyone have any experience with that?

If I'm going to get rid of the airbag, I'd need a full cage, racing seats, and a harness. I'm not removing the airbag

Motor mounts are in. nvh has increased, especially when decelerating. The nvh is really bad when the dual mass flywheel shakes the car.

It took us about 40 minutes to install the motor mounts, process wasn't too bad.

Took out the ford racing shifter. Gotta ship it back to the owner it will be missed. My buddy Jake let me use his SR shifter for the time being. Mgw race spec will come eventually lol.

I purchased cloth black seat covers with foam for 100 bucks to replace my ugly gray ones lol.
