BMR Strut Brace for V6?

I am really interested in seeing if this strut tower bar would actually work on a 3.7 although it's listed as only for a 5.0? What I don't understand is why some strut bars say they work for either but some of only say 3.7 or 5.0? Besides plenum clearances there shouldn't be any suspension difference right? It's part number STB0009.

If it was for the GT500 I believe it would work. I think the V6 has a higher manifold than the GT. The GT500 also has the higher manifold as well. I just put a BMR strut bar on my V6, so far so good.

I was interested in this piece for my Girlfriends V6 as well, but i believe the shape of the V6 plenum prevents it from fitting. I personally am a fan of bars that tie back towards the firewall, but if you look at the Factory V6 strut brace (same as the boss), you can see even that barely clears on the passenger side, so theres no way one for the lower sitting GT manifold would fit.

A strut bar made especially for a GT will not fit a V6. You need the one made for a Boss 302.

How ironic that the v6 has a higher deck than the 5.0... well unless I want to install motor lowering brackets I'm stuck with the regular ones I guess.

Here is a flat view of a V6 strut bar showing just how high the engine sits.

I have a similar bar like the BMR on my 08. It rubbed through the hood insulation so I had to remove it and paint the underside of the hood.

Its a 60* motor, vs a 90* for the 5.0, so it does just physically sit higher, as well as having a taller manifold. Makes doing headers on the 3.7 a breeze though.
