Carbon fiber dash overlay kit

Does anybody have this in their car? I'm going to receive these soon. If like to know about the difficulty or ease of installation. Please post pics if any.

I bought one off of Ebay for my 08 and it looks great! Very easy to install and just requires some patience to make sure that everything is test fitted first and aligned before pressing down.

Now I got the hard glossy plastic pieces, not the paper thin vinyl stickers. Big difference..

If you still want a pic, I'll take one and post it up.

I've done both kits from AM now. The first was the stick-on 3m backed one. It was...OK. But I grew to dislike it after a while. Tearing it all out was an ordeal...

I switched to the vinyl version and I like it a lot better. Actually has texture and looks more like the real thing. Plus since it's vinyl, if I want to take it off, it comes right out.

This is an example of what the vinyl version looks like on mine (had to host it as the picture was too large to upload)

For the vinyl? Not too bad. The one thing about vinyl though is if you stretch it too much in the heat it will warp and not hold it's shape too well, so you have to be gentler with it and preferably apply it a cool place.

The 3m stuff was nervewracking. Once you put it down, especially with the adhesive promoter, it ain't coming back up without a fight and you'll ruin that piece.

I have to use a blow dryer? Yes vinyl one. If I place it Incorrectly or something is it a simple readjustment?

No you don't have to. I would recommend a spray bottle with water and a tiny bit of dish soap ( a couple drops) and wet the back where it's slightly damp but not dripping at all. That will help keep it cool and allow some play to get it into place.

Just remember to use the squeegee to get all the water and air bubbles out.

If you're gentle and mess up, it peels right off, just wet it and try again.

The biggest thing I'd say is just be patient and take your time lining things up.
