BBK catted x-pipe

Currently I have BBK throttle body, airaid CAI, and MBRP cat back exhaust. I plan on purchasing BBK shorty headers, what's the best way to harness the rasp of the x pipe. The exhaust I have now has zero drone so that's not a problem.

You have a few options if you want zero rasp:

1) Keep stock midpipe (with cats and resonators)

2) Change the midpipe, and add resonators elsewhere. 2 may not be enough, some people have added 4... but if you change the midpipe, you will have rasp regardless of the muffler (even stock mufflers get raspy)

^ This. I'm going to be looking into resonators soon. My setup sounds amazing up until 3500ish when it breaks tone. Loud as HELL and it sounds racey and raspy but that's not the tone I want.

Well loud and raspy are two different things. You can be loud and still have tone without rasp. And vice versa.

Not a nice tone in my opinion. Just going to go with the Ford Racing x pipe

Good choice too for those wanting to keep there cats. I've had that before I had my exhaust guy fabricate a custom H pipe for me. I had the FRPP paired with a Magnaflow street cat back and it didn't make it louder but deeper.
Should go nicely with your current exhaust.

I am forced to keep my cats here in NY which is why I went with it. Couldn't be happier with it really deepened my exhaust tone and took out all the rasp without changing the sound.

99% sure I did. See where the left pipe after the x pipe is welded in how it's a little bent? I believe those are the resonators.
I took my old AB exhaust (pype bombs) off while I search around for some Borla's. Want to see how those sound once I get my BBK shorty headers on before I go messing with the resonators.

Oh ok I see now. Nice choice. You will like the setup once you get the Borla's. Nice deep tone that's not too loud.

That's what I'm hoping for! A nice deep rumble that will sound amazing at WOT but not too loud when I'm just cruising through town, with no rasp or pings/pops. The S-types will be perfect with this set-up. And if I want it a little louder, I'll just cut out the resonators!

I basically have stock exhaust setup - minus stock resonators and gt500 mufflers. Getting rid of my resonators did make it 'just' a tad bit loud, but now I've rasp if i go WOT. It used to have an exotic sound before and even thought it still is there (sort of), my car pops a lot + sounds like if i'm driving on a cracked muffler(I believe that's rasp?). No problems under normal driving though.

Just curious if FRPP x pipe would take care of it, or if i should get GT h pipe? I honestly need a louder/deeper rumble lol

I still drive it 90 miles a day, to loud would get old, kind of like my old 79 Pete with the straight stacks

No. When I had the FRPP cut & clamp I had it installed when I had a Magnaflow street cat-back already on the car and it went in just fine.
