Exhaust questions

Enjoying my pypes axlebacks for last 2 months great sound, only thing I want to do is try to make it into a catback by having a muffler shop create the piping but question what size should be done and how much you think it would be???

2.5" piping and it depends where you go. If you're just wanting the over-axle pipes it may be cheaper / less time consuming to just buy the pipes and have them put them on:

Like this one that comes with an X pipe for instance: 2011-2014 Mustang V6 3.7L Bassani Over Axle Tubes w/ X Pipe 3711X

Because to fabricate that, it won't be hard for them, but it will be time consuming. Pay for pipes, then have them bend, test fit, bend, test fit, etc etc.

That's shop hours and they usually charge an hourly rate. 3 hours of work, you're generally around $300 or so.

My buddy got 3" piping and his mufflers moved more toward the center of his Chrysler 300 and it sounds MEAN. Not sure how it would be on a mustang but it sounded great on his

3" won't work for the V6 due to the pipe sizing of everything else.

Oh 😕 that sucks because it changed his exhaust into a monster ! Does anybody else know why it makes a difference to relocate the muffler to center of the car rather than the back where they usually are?

I've read that 2.5 is the recommended size
