Crunch sound from front drivers side?

This is really weird, but I've noticed when I'm making a left into my driveway I get a crunching sound from the front. I say my driveway, because I've tried the same left turn in at other places but can't reproduce it. My driveway is flat and has no cracks etc. Any ideas? I've also heard at times a clank/crunch when going over bumps. My car only has 2100 miles on it - too early for stuff like this to be bothering me! I've also got a rattle in my dash that's driving me nuts, but that's a different issue. Could it just be that there is very little sound proofing on these cars?

Maybe its your front lower control arms, I had similar sounds over bumps coming from the front end. My car had 800kms on it at the time. There is a tsb and ford replaced both sides. In my case it sometimes sounded like my front end was ready to fall off lol. If you have some speed bumps around you try going over them slowly like normal with the radio ac etc off to see if you can hear it. Mine would creek and clunk. At times it sounded god awful.

I'm afraid it's something like that. It's just such a hassle to keep taking my car back to the dealer for stuff. I bought a new car to avoid this... oh well I'll see what they say when I take it back again to get my windows re-tinted, AGAIN

I have the same problem. Never got it fixed because it only happens when it's super hot outside or freezing cold

I think it's the bushings getting dry that makes the noise

That's exactly when mine made a lot of noise! Get them replaced under warranty. There is a tsb. I believe its the hydra bushing in the LCA.

Wish I could haha. No longer under warranty. It's no biggie, I rarely hear it. Is there another way to fix the problem? Like aftermarket front lower control arms

I have this same issue with my new 2014. Haven't cared enough to take it in yet for the swap. Do you know if the swap the whole unit, or just the bushings?

Ask any racer. Any real racer. It don't matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning's winning.

They change the whole LCA.
