3.73 gear install test tonight!

So I finally got my gears installed perfectly at a good shop. Going to the track tonight to see the gains the last best run I got was 13.7 in December with.
Injen intake
MPT 93 tune
Ran 13.9 in middle of the heat summer. Added some mufflers and the gears. It rained yesterday and it's a little wet today so god willing I'll get some passes tonight and I'll let you guys know the gains! I need to find my previous slip for more details.
Edinburg DA avg about 3000

My mechanic really said it was ok of course getting anything replaced new would be recommended. But then you'll have a never endin list of parts to replace .

I'd drive those gears before racing on them.

I strongly recommend you get the "Install Kit" when doing gears...

Agreed. Don't get cheap on the install kit. Get the full kit with the new gaskets, hardware and fluids. If you can, the traction lok kit for the carbon discs.

That ones not necessary, but it's a nice "while you're there" mod.

It replaces the clutch packs in your differential. They're much sturdier than stock and help gear engagement slightly. The same ones that come in the GT500 and older cobras.

Yeah, it's nothing you HAVE to get, but while the mechanic already has your diff cracked open, it's not much more work and you have the peace of mind of knowing those clutch packs are stronger than they were.

I was on the fence for a long time on which gears to get over the factory 2.73s I finally went with the 3.55s. very happy with them. can't wait to see the difference the 3.73s make for you when you are already running 13.7!

We were all going to meet at the Edinburg track as well. Is that the one you go too? Sadly that rain killed it! I'm from Harlingen, hit me up when you hit the track I want to see your ride in action.

Well this was one crazy weekend
Started out with rain
Before I went tonight I came across some race star wheels with nitto555r some guy sold me which we were not able to put on! Anyone with knowledge of that please help me.
So other than that I finally got out there did the first hit on a hot motor 13.7 cooled off ran13.6. I knew I could get another hit with a better time but my girlfriend got sick so we packed it up hopefully I'll get at it again next week. Oh and on the gains I know not too big a difference but 13.7 in December was a 13.9 in June so it's the same temp still so overall I was still impressed especially since I could feel a better hit in it.
