'14 GT Exhaust on '14 v6?

Guy is selling his GT exhaust for $150 and I'm thinking about putting them on my V6. Will I need additional material, or can I just swap them out with some welding?

You will need to have the flanges from your mufflers cut off and welded to the Gt500 mufflers. GT is 2.5" vs 2.25" on the v6

Any competent shop should be able to do that? Any idea on how it'll sound? Just looking for a weeee bit louder. Just to clarify, they're GT stock mufflers... Same as GT500? I'm a newbie, so I apologize!

Yes any competent shop could make the switch. Do you have an auto or manual. They have different mufflers, the manuals are a bit louder. The GT should be a little deeper /louder but not a huge amount.

GT and GT 500 mufflers are not the same. GT 500s are the best sounding of the bunch.

Lastly current student? 04 alumn here.

Thanks so much! I actually graduated from College of Charleston in 2007, and we don't have a football team. My brother graduated from tech in 1996, so I've always been a fan. Big game tonight! Hope an upset can be delivered...

I am getting ready to swap to GT500 mufflers. If you want the GT mufflers for free, let me know as I do not want them taking up space.

If there is a difference in size between the GT mufflers and the V6 exhaust could you make the connection using a reducer sleeve?
