Ford went to the 2.3 in 1987. Even though the turbo edition in the svo was available from 1984-1986

^^^ Reading the ad and looking at it , that GT was a notchback model, the 3.8 V6 came with dual exhaust , a sport steering wheel, full dash instrumentation, sport chrome hub caps , low profile radial tires, cloth seats. Metallic paint and black leather seats optional. The price in VENEZUELA was at that time in US $ a tad over 11 grand

I dig those wheels in a 1983 kind of way. Gills on the hub caps? Okay!
