The link posted has it for 99 shipped but they occasionally run it on sale for 70. They just finished a Labor Day sale so it will probable be a whole until they run another but it's best to just keep checking. Even if you pay the 99 it's not too bad as most other places that sell it have it for 150+

Eric,

You made a great choice. When it comes to quality & American Made products ... the Steeda unit is at the top of the list.

Post some pictures of that unit when you get a chance!

Best Regards,

TJ

Strut bars and convertibles

I ordered a Ford Racing strut bar when I bought my 2014 V6 Convertible and was surprised when it arrived at the dealership with a strut bar already on it! I went ahead and used the Ford Racing bar and gave the factory one, which looks like the 302 bar sold by online vendors, to a friend with a 08 V6 convertible without a bar. He noticed a large difference with the bar installed and the Ford Racing bar felt more solid on my car. Maybe the convertibles are too flexible but the bar is well worth while. Maybe not such a difference on the coupe.

I bought a boss 302 strut tower bar from cj pony parts for my 2012 v6 and I noticed a difference between a strut tower bar and none. I only noticed the difference getting on and off highway exits. But for the most part, its mostly a "look cool" under the hood part.

There are much bigger things that you can do for the money. A stiffer front sway bar will do wonders, especially when coupled with some koni shocks. I have tried several different setups to get to where I am right now (shown in my signature).

You can get a strut tower brace for less than $100 shipped. There is nothing bigger you can do for the money. New shocks and front sway bar will be about $500

Yeah, for $100 you would only be able to get a single sway bar. But that will make a difference in tire wear and contact patch during cornering.

I'm looking now at front and rear sways and a strut brace. I think I'm going to leave stock springs and struts till the struts go then upgrade those. I don't really want to mess with ride height. I actually like it now as it sits. Then get 18" american muscle drift wheels in charcoal. I think the bigger darker wheels will get rid of the appearance of huge wheel gap that the stocker 17" silver wheels give off.

I love my 18s they are perfect. I have mine lowered and it sits absolutely perfect barely any wheel gap but no tire rub and doesn't look cartoony like 20s do

I have the 2012 gt500 wheels on mine. 19s in the front and 20s in the rear with the sr springs (1.5 in drop) I don't think the 20s look cartoony lol
