I have a chance to buy a take off set of the California special 19" wheels and tires. any pros or cons to running these on my v6?

Buy yourself some of these so they don't rub, and enjoy!

Do you need the spacer even if the car isn't lowered? I'm buy a set of track pack wheels, will they rub?

Yeah, you'll need it even if it isn't lowered.

Pretty much anything over 18" will need the steering rack stops.

My car came with the performance pack wheels and tires and I DID NOT have any of spacers or anything. They are the same wheels as the cs, but grey instead of black.

The cars that came with factory 18 or larger wheels have steering stops that if you had a base with 17 wheels isn't in place. The result is the higher offset factory wider wheels may rub at full turn. You don't need them if the wheel has a lower offset than the stock 17s. It's why the base cars that came with 17s have a sharper turning radius.

Exact reason I picked up mine. The new 19s rub decently at full lock.

Just gotta get the car on ramps and knock these out. Bought wheel spacers too just in case but doubt I'll need them.

I may put them on later just for looks lol

Yeah, you won't even finish your beer by the time you're done putting them in.

I run the track pack wheels on my car without any issues. There will be rub if you turn the wheel to within 60ish degrees of lock due to how much wider they are. This can be corrected with the GT steering stops, or my solution, which is to just not turn the wheel that far.

Proving to my fellow racers that the disdain that some GT drivers have for V6 drivers is unfounded, one results archive at a time since 2013.

well I went again and got them and glad I did. they fit with no issues and look great. they only rub a tiny bit at full lock. I'm not going to bother with steering stops. they have the oem tpms sensors in them but I was expecting to have to calibrate them to my car but so far no warning on the dash.
