I saw this YouTube video about using a hair dryer and compressed air. Should pop right out.

In all seriousness though, hope everyone is ok. The car can be replaced.

The car does look bad enough, but with that being said, parts and labor are so expensive these days, it doesn't take much to total a car. The insurance company is going to get quite a bit of money back with all those new 2014 parts still on the car.

Sorry to hear the news man. Dumb question, but will they let you keep the car when you settle, or do you have to junk it? You could make a nice buck parting it out.

Good luck with everything!

My guess is they will give him two different prices, one to keep the car and one to give the car up.

Yeah no joke. Went around showing my friends a wrecked Mustang I pulled off Google as a joke. It was either the next day or few days later my car ended up in the shop for two weeks (not my fault, but still sucked).

Sorry to hear it but at least your Alright and able to post about it. Although we love our cars there all replaceable. Looks like you had a few mods at least the track Pack wheels. If the insurance does take the car I would swap out anything you put on and out it back to stock

.02 only.

no matter what you are screwed..I would prefer to start again than to have to deal with possible repair/loss issues of a wreck like that. I'm guessing someone hit you hope they had insurance/money.
Full replacement + something extra for pain/suffering/inconvienence. I'm not talking millions but $2-5K is a reasonable punishment.

a nice big serving of V8 lemonade will make you feel better.

Make sure that any parts you put on yourself or anyone else put on, you get full reimbursement on the labor. Parts may depreciate but labor doesn't. Also make sure all parts they are reimbursing you for has sales tax, if you order parts from some place that charged itl

I hate to say it, but I'm willing to bet that the insurance company isn't going to care about reimbursement for any aftermarket parts and especially labor. You would probably need to get some sort of rider on your policy if you wanted that, which I doubt would be easy to get either. They are probably only going to base it on a stock Mustang.

True that might be the case if it's his policy paying the bill. But if it someone else's insurance, he should get reimbursed. Put a couple of riders on my car just in case I'm the one that causes a crash.

This.

If it's the other guys policy (which it should be if you got rear ended) then make sure you list every mod you've done and its cost.

I had a car totaled in an accident that wasn't my fault. I laughed at the first offer his insurance agency gave me. I listed all my mods and showed them how much the same car was being sold for in the same condition. Got me another $2,000.

In summary: don't take the first offer.
