Gt catback fit on 3.7?

I've been trying to find out if a gt over axle pipes will mount up to the stock or aftermarket h/x pipe and axleback? I know the size is different I just need to know if the pipes mount in the same locaton.

I'm pretty sure it runs the same exact way.

The mid pipes are different, so it wouldn't be a matter of "shape," It would be a matter of length. You'd have to have a shop weld them since theres like 1/2" difference in pipe diameter anyways, but if they also need to cut / shorten anything, you're almost spending more than its worth... Thats why i asked "sound or performance," Because there are easier ways of doing both.

I was able to find gt over axle pipe only for cheap under 350.00. If they don't simply bolt in I wound be worth it. Oh well new catback for me then.

The OAP give zero performance or sound benefit on the 3.7... are you just not happy with your current Axle back?

Ahh. Yeah, that will be more beneficial. Best of luck, but maybe just find some stock GT OAP, they're 2.75" and people probably just have them laying around.

Lethal performance sell just the over axle pipes 2.75 cheaper than a catback plus I have a borla axleback from a gt sitting in my garage so I just needed to verify the x pipe to over axle pipe mounting location.

I know, but they're still 2.75". You're basically paying $300 for just a resonator delete compared to the OEM GT OAPs... I'll have my car up in the air this weekend doing my brakes, if i remember, i'll try to get some measurements for you to confirm.

Keep looking; that's not cheap if those are "stockers". Most of the GT folks have also switched to an aftermarket axle back setup, so the market is flooded with these stock GT axlebacks. Check Ebay. Check craigslist. For awhile, these could be had for free; you only had to pay the shipping costs.

Case in point: I purchased a set of GT500's from a guy for 50 bucks (shipping), and it cost me 80 bucks to have my local muffler shop cut the ends off of my stock V6 axlebacks, cut the ends off the GT500's, weld the V6 ends onto the GT500's and then install them. I have 130 bucks into them. For me, this sound is great.

However, the GT500's are heavier then the stock V6 axlebacks. If weight is a concern, pay more and buy a set of aftermarket axlebacks.
