Longtube Woes

After installing my longtubes and catless x-pipe tonight (about 4 hours with the help of some friends), I went to take my car for a test drive and found that I no longer have a speedometer, my airbag light is on, my gas light is on even though I have 3/4 tank of gas, there is wrench symbol on my RPM gauge, and I almost entirely lose power after about 3k rpm's. Anyone else experience these problems before? Or have any guesses as to what be causing them?

Do you have a tune for no cats? That's really going to upset the ECU...

Have you jacked the car up and looked under the hood to make sure nothing is unplugged? It sounds like something electrical was not hooked back or the headers could have possible burnt through a wire. Only reason I ask is that you mentioned 'friends' helped so although you plugged everything you unplugged in maybe someone else forgot something?

Not having a tune would through a CEL light and potentially mess with the power but shouldn't affect the other things you mentioned.

You need a custom tune with those mods...

I ordered my tune and it isn't yet, but the headers shouldn't cause things like my airbag sensor coming on and no speedo should it? I double checked to make sure everything was plugged in before dropping the car back on the ground. Everything worked fine going down my driveway (about 1/2 mile) then when I went to pull on the road it was like a total system melt down all of a sudden.

Check your fuses in the passanger side kick panel sounds like you blew the air bag fuse putting the car in limp home mode.. that's my idea anyway

You don't NEED a custom tune. Your check engine light will come on and you may run a little lean. But nothing on the dangerous side. Check your fuses and wiring.

I'm positive it's a fuse you blew I only know because I've blown a couple triggering some of your symptoms lol

Theres a lot of wires between the transmission and exhaust, one of which is likely the speedo reading (off the transmission), so my bet is your burned up some wires.

All fuses and connections are good. A couple relays were fried though, swapped them out and fried the new ones too, guess it's time to take it into a shop
