Coil Over Kits

Was thinking of getting a coilover kit and caster camber plates for Christmas/Birthday. Not too sure which brand to go with. I know AmericanMuscle has Eibach and H&R. Which brands have good reputations and which kit do you suggest?

-- Looking to spend like 1500 at the most not including CC plates and install

Eibach is a brand/company who has been around and proven themselves for a while. Cant go wrong. Its in your price range. Why do you want coil overs and not just springs shocks and struts? spend the extra money on more mods.

If you're looking for both I might take a look at an AirLift Suspension !

Let me know if you have any questions and if you don't have our discount code for some reason let me know and I'll get you set up!

Air ride might be out of my price range, but trust me i've looked into it. Maybe one day. Just dont have 3k plus another 1k for install

So I can adjust the height if needed

To be honest you wont. When I bought some for my 350Z I really thought I needed them, I didn't. I found the ride to be very stiff and after a few hundred miles I sold them, they were Teins. I suggest a spring at the proper drop you want and then some adjustable shocks and struts, maybe some Tokicos.

Once the car is lowered the odds of you changing it are probably pretty slim, unless you're doing some type of racing.

Yeah, in my personal opinion, in the $1000-1500 range you will actually get better handling from a good spring and a good adjustable shock / strut combo, and that will likely run you close to $1000 or so instead of $1500.

There is nothing wrong with "cheap coilovers" but understand those are not "racecar parts." "Real" coilovers are like $2500+, so in my mind i would rather have amazing shocks / struts + springs instead of "cheap" coilovers. To each his own, you likely cant go wrong with either, that's just my personal opinion.

The height is also a pain in the *** to adjust on most coilovers lol and i have heard more times than once people just setting it and forgetting it because they dont want to keep messing with it. Not saying you shouldnt look at coils, but basically theres no point in overspending if it isnt exactly what you're looking for you know.

I have the Koni struts, shocks and that spring kit. I love em. The ride is a bit firmer, but still very smooth.

Remember a panhard bar and at least some camber bolts. I went with CC plates, but out of personal preference for more adjustability.

Perfect, thanks for the input. I probably would have been upset with coilovers, plus that leave money for more mods haha. Maybe some lca's.

I would go with CC plates as well. Forgot about the panhard bar though. Do you have the Sportline Springs?

I dont know where you live or your current road conditions, but keep in mind the Sportline kit will lower your Mustang a lot. I have the Pro kit and for a DD I love it. Id like to go lower but it just becomes a giant head ache.

Ah no. I have the ProLine. Not the Sport. I didn't want a big drop.

Same. My ramps just BARELY clear now too. Once I get the splitter and lower fascia, no chance.

That being said ^^ I jack the car up in the front by the K-member so i dont have to do each side individually. I imagine i still have a little more room on the sides where the pinch welds are, but i dont prefer jacking the car up on those. Just makes me nervous.
