All about Flowmasters

I know, I do have Magnaflow streets but some of you are die-hard Flowmaster fan's.
I found this just for you.

I still think my Magnaflow Streets sound best on a 3.7 V6 and you don't have to add resonators or anything after installing them.

My Mustang sounds great at ant RPM

I have just the Magnaflow axleback streets with the stock cat's and x/h pipe.
It sounds good at idle.
It sounds good accelerating slow.
It sounds good running down the highway at 75/80 MPH.
It sounds good accelerating with the pedal to the metal.
It just plain sounds good all the time

A nice deep smooth rumble that I like. Not a loud obnoxious drone.

If his engine sounds like you say it does he probably has a slight miss in it. If it sounds too farty he has a larger miss that should be checked out. The engine would sound "FARTY" no matter what mufflers he has on it.

what i mean by farty is instead of a deep hum, its like you close your lips and blow out some air and the lips will flap making this farty sound much like an accord v6 with a custom exhaust. its so hard to explain ill try to get a video of his exhaust. and like i said it only happens on WOT. mine doesnt do that its obviously a high pitch tone but still a hum rum not potpotpotpotptotpotpot. Sure i like the deep rumbling sound no doubt and im not bashing magnaflow just pointing out what made me choose fm and im not saying fm is the best after all.

Flowmasters IMO sound like complete crap. They ping like crazy , super raspy, and on de-cel they sound like pebbles are rattling around your exhaust.
My least favorite exhaust for our cars

There is one thing I can say about Mufflers

They all sound very different.
Some are loud.
Some are raspy.
Some are nice and deep.
Some have great looking tips.
Some fit great.
Some don't fit good at all.

The thing is that not everyone has the same wants or tastes in what they like or want their car to sound like.
I'm just happy they make a nice large selection of mufflers for us to choose from.

If you don't know Good Fellas go buy it. Don't worry about renting it, just buy it.

And thanks for making me feel old.

I think they are all good

Borlalso Makes Ford Racing and Shelby Mufflers. I like the touring mufflers because I don't like real loud. The S-types sound good but they are a little loud. The ataks are really obnoxious and they are made for the people that want to be heard.

They all perform the same. It is the sound that makes a difference.
