Tow hook

This is the first winter I'll have my mustang and I remember last year I drove a big suv and I watched a camaro get stuck. The kid lived in my neighborhood so I stopped to help him. However I found out that his car didn't have a tow hook. Just curious if for whatever reason I do get stuck this winter where should I hook up the tow strap?

I'd love to know this because I had this problem last winter.

I looked high and low to find a place to put a hook to pull it out with one of my other cars. Wound up calling up Ford to get a free tow and some kid shows up in a friggen Tahoe. Not a real tow truck. We had to rock my car to get it out.

I would imagine somewhere on the k member or even the front axle, but don't quote me on that. I've never been towed in this car.

There is no factory tow point because the car is supposed to be towed on a flat bed. That being said, all kits to add a tow hook are aftermarket and are quite pricey ... Granted, not something you want to go cheap on.

You have to make sure it is structurally sound, we had a guy go off track this past weekend, and when they came to winch him out of the ditch they ripped his tow hook clean off since the car was stuck in mud.

Typically its in line with a frame rail, but that will require permanent modification to the bumper (drilling a hole). You can also go with something like this though, which is what I may end up doing.

Nah, I see all the Hondas with some nice tow hooks, they said they paid like 20 bucks max, and any more is a ripoff (this is a joke)

Those are the ones I'm buying for the front of mine.

Looking for a rear tow hook as well, But can't seem to find a good one.

I'll begin participating in events as soon as I get my driveshaft,

I wonder if you can remove it easily. That car really looks tacky on that blowfish site.

Well those hooks are meant for drag cars to be towed from the pits. Not really for a DD, I suppose it doesn't matter, but they're not exactly meant for aesthetics.

Tow hooks are most common on real race cars. Not just drag cars

They are definitely not for aesthetics, But I've seen a ton of imports around Los Angeles that think they look awesome, Because they all rock one. lol.
