Very strange noise

I know that is gonna sound weird, but this is true! 2 days ago, I went and got the oil changed on my V6 2012 Mustang. After I got in after the oil change, I noticed that when I put it on cruise control and the motor is trying to pull the car up a hill, when the RPM's are at about 1700, there is a loud 'hum', like a small exhaust leak. Once the motor is no longer under a load, it sounds normal again. Has anybody heard of this happening to them?

I had this also with my stock set up same scenario, its low level drone, nothing to worry about.

Could it be due to a catalytic converter starting to stop up?

idk but I doubt it. Is it Occams Razor that says the simpliest solution is the most likely. Any other symptoms and why do you think your cat has a problem?

I can give it a 'lot of pedal' and I can then hear the 'drone' hum as well. Would this be connected to the catalytic converter?
