Boss side exhaust on V6

I'm just curious if anyone has tried this setup yet? I'm definitely not talking about 'how it looks' perspective, more so the sound output. I read a thread on another forum, but didn't find anything concrete. Just that it will 'amplify' your current exhaust note.

Would it also make it raspy, since your side pipes are coming right from mid pipe and that there are no mufflers to quiet it down?

My first thought is it would be horrendously raspy and wheezy. Never seen or heard it done, I'm just basing that on how in think the exhaust pressure and acoustics would work for the V6.

True, even that's my first impression. It's having a straight through exhaust system with no mufflers on. But I have heard 5.0 engines are raspy too, just like 3.s. Yet a side pipe exhaust sounds pretty good with no rasp at all.

Does it have a valve or something that opens up when you step on it? And if these side pipes are in fact resonated to keep unwanted engine sounds out?

It doesnt have a butterfly, it has a Ristrictor panel. Theres basically a flat plate of metal in there with a tiny hole drilled in it to only let a small amount of sound out. You can either drill the hole larger, or remove the plate completely, but thats how they function.

If you weld the Boss H after the stock cats and resonators it will not rasp. It may drone however.

Is it that gold colored mesh with a tiny hole on one of the ends?

That would be the plan, right after resonators.

I currently have single tip GT500 mufflers, while they sound good, they're tad bit quiter for my liking. I had my stock resonators removed, it made em really raspy with a tin can sound whenever I floored my car. So I had to put them pack (gt ones, couldn't find a v6 pair) and now my exhaust is even quiter than before lol
I have tried magnaflow comps, good lord they were obnoxious. Couldn't handle em more than 3 days.

So a boss side pipe, borla Stingers/Ataks, shelby quads with valance are all within $600 range. Indecisions indecisions!!! Lol
