Drag radials or bias ply tires for track?

I've gone through several pairs of drag radials in the past and currently have a set of nitto 555r 305/45/18 in my garage waiting to get put on, but was wondering if bias ply et streets would be better for the track? I know that you can hook better with bias ply but how much better of a et can one expect between the two? Would it be worth the cost to buy drag stars and bias ply vs standard 18" and drag radials?

Thanks I will still run my nittos on the street but will pick up a set of drag stars an mt streets for the track. Is it necessary to run skinnys when running bias ply slicks?
