2011 stang convertible leaks in heavy rains

Guys,

Help please. I have a 2011 convertible. the last two heavy rains have left me with puddles in the passenger side floor boards.

i dont believe its coming from the convertible top or windows as there is no evidence of water there.

i havent really gotten down and looked in the well but my guess is its coming in through the outer body some where.

anyone have any experience with this?

thanks.

It could be your windows werent shut properly the night it rained. Happened to me on my previous car where I literally had to drain a full bucket of water from passenger floor boards.

Use a vacum that people use to dry rugs, keep your windows shut nicely and see if it stays dry the next rainfall.

found the trouble. on the passenger side in front of the wipers is a plastic covering. took that off. below that is the cabin air filter and below that there is a semi circular rubber drain. leave refuse had built up there and clogged the drain. this caused water to back up and flow through the cabin filter down into the footwell of the car. good thing i found it as on that outer wall is the interior fuse box.

if this occurs to anyone there is a video on youtube.

Perfect! Thanks for sharing the info. Also, did you notice any foul smell coming off from your vents each time you turned the fan on?

Now that I think about it, I remember my civic smelled like shiet whenever I turned AC/defrost on. I thought it was due to excessive pungent water/wet mats, but seems like it was a clogged up drain.
