Where do you see that they won't fit Pony Package cars? I have the same package on mine and was looking at the Roush upper/lower for mine.

I am not sure about roush but if you check AM site look at the bottom of the descriptions and it says not for pony package v6.

I was looking at the retro style and the gt500 replica.

Maybe the roush is the same but i am not sure.

I believe its because the grills that American Muscle sell go over your existing grill for the v6. They don't actually replace them because the grill is apart of the bumper for the v6 IIRC.

If you have the pony package (I do as well) you'll notice the silver emblem on our grill sticks out too far to be able to overlay any other grill on top of it.

Ahh. I see. I know some vehicles have billet grilles that just zip tie or install over the factory grille. Maybe this one is the same and the extra trim on the Pony Package grill interferes?

Yeah the roush will completely replace your grille so it fits on all models. Same goes for the cdc perfomance grille. I went the OEM gt grille with boss style fog light deletes. So you still have a few options with the pony package. Oh and to save you time with the install watch the cdc grille installation. It shows how to install any of the replacement grilles without taking off the front bumper.

I have a 14 pony package and I upgraded to the CDC performance grille. The easiest installation ever! All I had to do was literally yank out the original grille and then saw off the middle support beam that was left behind.

After the deletion was completed the CDC snapped in place like it was meant to be.

I was pretty disappointed with my options on my 2012.

I'm doing a full on GT front end conversion and just hoping to god that someone wants to buy a complete white pony package front end with lights and all to defray some of the expense.

Look for take offs on ebay. Got mine already painted my color for $250. White is a pretty common color, so it shouldn't be hard. If you had like grabber blue, red candy or the yellow that was available in 2010-2011, that would be difficult.

Hey thanks Joey, I did exactly as you suggest and got it a pristine white bumper cover shipped to my door for $250 flat.

I paid nearly that for the Saleen front grille, but ultimately I decided that was the look I really loved.

Got the Raxiom halos when they released them in black (but not smoked lenses) for 100 off normal price. Think that was a price mistake or something. Adding the HIDs as well.

Gonna find a set of LED DRLs for the lower valance that won't break the bank (sorry AM, but 300 for those is bananas) and that should complete the swap all for a little more than $800.

So I'm hoping someone will want all my Pony Package front end and fog pieces to make back some of that $800

I've got her in getting tinted and the roof vinyled, and I'll be traveling for work all week so I'll pick her up next Friday for some quality garage time.

No problem! Before I did my swap I was looking on LMR at the unpainted gt covers going for 500 and figuring at least 350 for paint. Then I saw the eBay take offs and bought it right then lol. Already comes with the lower valance (if you bought from the same seller I did) so all you need is the grille and you're done!
