Exhaust

Hey just bought a 2014. Wondering what exhaust would be good. I've heard the Bassani on YouTube and they sound good but I know you can't really go off a recording all the time

I don't want anything that to loud. Right now I just plan on doing the axle back, a cai, and tune. I just want a deep aggressive sound

You'll get 9 billion answers to this. Everyone is going to be biased towards their own set up. My advice, look up some brands from this forum and go listen to them on YouTube.

The problem there as I said is bias, and the fact that exhaust tone is very subjective. What's deep and muscular to me, may not be to you.

If you can, car shows or members nearby you that have exhaust set ups you want to hear are good routes.

That's how I found the one I wanted. Hearing in person is 100% better than going by other peoples opinions.

Listen to some of the American Muscle Exhaust Video's, they tend to be better than most of the Youtube ones, also you can check out the Borla on there web site

It sounds like they use real recording equipment on the AM video's, so they're going to be the most accurate. Youtube video's are not to be trusted.

Of all the American muscle one I'm thinking the Bassani sounds better I've just heard some people talk about a drone

Gt500 (for a just a bit louder over stock) or borla s type (louder and throaty than stock) or the Ataks (loudest without any drone/rasp). This is what most people end up with after experimenting with different exhausts. Save that money and do it right the first time.

Oh, and exhaust thread!

Get Magnaflow! No, those suck, get flowmasters! Flowmasters are too raspy, get pype bombs! Wtf are you talking about?!?! Pype bombs are sooooo raspy and loud, you should get Roush axle backs. Those sound like fart cans! No they don't they just need to "break in and get carbon build up then the settle down". It's an axle BACK, not axle BACKS you idiot! Get the bassani! Why would you get bassani?? They drone worse than my mother in law! You should get Borla because they're the best at everything. They've come up with a cure AIDS and hiccups and a weird unintended side effect is your man bits will become larger and smell like freshly tanned cowhide. It's still being tested by the FDA though.

I have bassani, the do drone from about 2200-2800 rpm and only uphill, after I got bbk shorties they only drone around 2500 but it is very tolerable and sound great, I have gotten a lot of compliments

But the Roush do "settle down"....

This is about on par with every exhaust thread. It's too subjective to tell you anything.
