Muffler delete

Just got my muffler delete done today from a custom shop. Sounds loud as hell and good. Was only $100 which isn't bad

Is there not a bolt on kit so dude didn't have to take a sawzall too it? I thought the pypes kit was pretty much a muffler delete by looking at it. Also the magnaflow comps are pretty much the same thing but they have the smallest inline "mufflers" to help shape the tone.

How is the drone, rasp etc?

Well the pypes are around $300 and this only cost me $100 and it's loud very loud but I'm use to it all my family members have muscle cars that are even louder lol and the drone isn't actually that bad

My neigbors have commented they hear my GT500's when I crank up at 0530 but they all said it sounds great and they are already awake anyway.

That's a good deal if you still have an "axle back" meaning you can still disconnect and put new ones on without any further cutting or welding.

The pipes kit is basically straight pipes only with mid-mounted "mufflers" which are really just resonators. The sound is great, but the drone after I swapped gears was incredible.

^ This, it looks good but if the shop did in fact cut off the mufflers instead of simple unbolting them seems kind of stupid as it will make going back to stock a PITA. They still could have unbolted the mufflers and then cut off the tips without hacking up the whole exhaust. But its hard to tell from the pictures. The first picture just makes it seem that way since he has a saw.

Guys look at his photo, he cut behind the clamp, so they will come of just like a normal axleback.

Muffler delete

I didn't see the clamp the first few times I looked at it. My mistake. At least you can still easily swap to different kits.

Carry on, don't mind me. Still need video.

Yup, sounds a lot like my Pypes kit. Maybe a touch louder and raspier due to no resonator and the smaller diameter catback.

Not as bad as I imagined. I've heard some bad muffler deletes/straight pipes on various cars, this does not sound that bad.

Just ordered the ford racing x pipe and also going to put resonators to tame the sound... Anybody with the x pipe notice a difference in sound or power?

Yep, but I put mine on with my Longtubes so, I have nothing to compare JUST the midpipe to.

I went from a Catted mid pipe to an off road and did feel a slight difference, nothing amazing but there is slightly more power.
