Just plasti-dipped my faux gas cap emblem

I guess this is the closest one can go to get a plain pony emblem on their decklid, without chopping/taking anything off. Overall, it didn't turn the out the way I wanted it to. A bit messy but none the less I can live with it. For now lol.

I like it! Good job. I have some plasti dip left, might give it a shot.

Plastidip is such a cool product, provided you have patience and know how to use it. I plastidipped my stock 19' PP rims this summer, they turned out pretty sick!

So did you tape it off? Or does the emblem come off for painting? I think I'd be interested in a flat black rear emblem, pony and all.

Yeah I taped everything off, along with newspapers. Make sure you cover whole rear bumper and trunk. Else you're gonna get mist everywhere.

Just rub against the pony and the plastidip will come off once it's dry.

That's how I did mine when I did it. I think it looks more clean w/ the chrome being gone.

I plasti dipped both my wheels as well as the pony in front and it made my car look aggressive!
