Used Cold air intake help

Hey guys, I'm picking up a used airaid intake today and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what to look for(defects, ect). It seems pretty simple it's just a box, tube, and filter but would rather be safe and just ask. So if there is anything any one can think of I would appreciate the input. Thanks!

Do you have an auto? There is an additional vacuum fitting that you will need to be included if you do. On the flip side, if you have a standard and he has an auto, you'll need a means of capping that one off. A 3/8" vacuum cap from autozone will work.

I don't remember honestly. When i ordered my GFs intake for her first car (13 auto) i cant remember if i had to specify if it was an auto or standard, but when we switched to her new car (14 manual) i couldn't find any sort of plug or anything in the air raid box, so i just capped that extra fitting off.

AM includes all you'll need for either, or rather the Airaid box new does.

if you have a manual at the most you'll need is a plug if the other fitting was used.

Hint: combine your threads.
