Yeah and it was a real disappointment but anything over 45-50 the sound would rise to normal. It was just aggravating. But other than that I loved the sound.

Off topic does anyone run hood lights? If so what kind?

Go with what fits your budget or looks the best to you. You aren't sacrificing any power going one over the other.

Dyno results from a member on FFM with an MPT tune. Blue is airraid, red is steeda. IIRC both runs were on the same day, only difference is the switching between the airraid w/ mpt for the airraid setup to the steeda w/ mpt for the steeda setup.

The steeda intake while at peak makes the same power as the airraid, makes more power every where else under the curve.

Steeda requires a tune because they increase the maf diameter.

If you can find more than 1 graph showing that, then I can believe it. In every other graph I've seen, they're neck and neck.

That's the only independent real world comparison done on the same day, same car, same dyno with the only thing changing is the intake and the tune that drives said intake that I've seen. Most people don't buy both, let alone take both to a dyno and compare them.

That being said, while I do believe the steeda outperforms the airraid, if you have one I wouldnt go out to buy the other.

The weak link with the Steeda is yes, you're getting more air due to a larger MAF housing, but you still can only force so much through the small stock throttle body.

It would be interesting to see how it would react with one of the folks that has done a GT throttle body swap. 80mm would certainly be enough to take advantage of a larger housing.

Well if it's that neck and neck then the air raid is the way to go.
