Good Deal

I ran across this great deal on eBay. Had I not already had 2/3 items myself I would have snagged this for myself.

I figured I'd get one of the members here hooked up rather than some random schmoe.

This guy has the Airaid CAI, 73mm TB and SCT x3 tuner for $200 bid /$350 buyout.

Hmmmm... Interesting!

As far as the tuner goes, there would be an extra cost involved to get it running with your car, right?

If it's unmarried, the only cost would be whatever tuner you decide to go with. I.e. Bama, MPT, etc.

Now if he was silly enough to keep it married and can no longer unlock it, then you'd have to send it to SCT and have them unlock it for a additional $150.

Hmmmm.. So basically could be looking at (best case scenario, no one else bids) $200.00 for the 3 + $99 for bama tunes for life. $299.00. great deal I'm gonna have to think about this one (unless someone else thinks faster). Worst case scenario, $350.00 + $150.00 + $99 = $599... still a good deal.

Based on the pics, can you tell if there's anything wrong with the items? The TB looks a lil worn.

Looks a little dirty, but nothing that raises any flags to me. You could always message the person for better pics.

Someone bid on it. As soon as you bid on an item, you can no longer 'Buy Now'.

So now, it'll prob shoot past $350 in a bid war lol.

THOUGHT ABOUT IT TOO LONG! DARN.

Ah, ok that makes sense. Yeah I was too slow on the draw, I assume the first bidder just wanted to **** on it for someone else. All I can promise you at this point is that it will sell for at LEAST 350

I thought you could buy it now if the bid hasn't reached the BIN price.

Just Watch it and wait. Don't bid right away, that will just drive up the price. Unless some jerk put a crazy high max bid, you could still get it for a steal.

Alas no, he's right about that. It used to be that way, but not anymore. I remember learning that the hard way when I was selling something a while ago.

If you're a seller: You can offer a Buy It Now price as the only option. You can also create an auction-style listing with a Buy It Now option. In auction-style listings, the Buy It Now price needs to be at least 30% higher than the starting price. Once someone bids, the Buy It Now option goes away and the item will be sold to the winning bidder.

WordySanchez, I'll make sure to boost up the auction to $350 if it's not there yet by Sunday

I asked some questions. Here's some more info for you.

"The tuner has 5 unlocks and is unmarried. The intake system was installed by a local dealer. The bolts and clamps were used from the factory mustang, and we never got those back. Throttle was shipped with three bolts instead of four, but the forth one was not needed for installation so I never had AmericanMuscle waste the time sending it out. It was a nice upgrade! It appears two washers are missing, the shop installed those for me.

I honestly did not think it would move, so I did not price it to make big $$ off of it. For the exception of the bolt from the throttle, which is not going to make a difference, the other three hold it in, and having to use the factory screws and bolts, it's ready to go!

Purchased this last year in October, included pics. Thanks very much for looking."

Heh, yeah. I had to draw the line at $450 as I have other competing priorities at the moment. I'd have gone as high as $550 if wheels and suspension weren't imminent. $450 or under would have been enough of a deal to cause me to re-prioritize

I'm glad the guy got a decent price. I think that intake alone is $450 new isn't it? The tuner and CAI would made it a great deal for the buyer and at least the seller got something fair.

Everyone wins.

I'm hoping the CCWs off my RX-7 fit on the Mustang, that'll save me $1,800 right there.

Hope to have some suspension questions for everyone very soon...
