Are these lights on the front LED bulbs or LED strips??? I would like to change them to red. How would I go about doing this? Please help

I did a little bit of googling.... couldn't really find anything other than people referring to them as strips.

Also found this website. Didn't really browse through it. But you can have a go at it.

I'm pretty sure they are just bulbs. However they can be replaced with full length strips. HID Guy goes in and removes the bulbs and replaces it with an RGB LED strip. I know of a couple of local shops in my area that have done it. So it can be done, but I have no idea the process to do it

I believe it's a layer of plastic that has ridges to create surface area that reflects light. Halos used to be made this way and you would only use two lights at the bottom facing opposite directions thru the light tube, if that makes sense?

Isn't red in front illegal?

As long as he wires it so that he can turn them off when he drives, he's good. If he plans on driving with them red, he's gonna get pulled over in a heartbeat. Red lights can only be on the rear of the vehicle when driving.
