GT hood vents in a 13' V6

Here is my 2013 V6 Premium. I have some mods installed like a Roush Hood Scoop, Roush Chin Spoiler, Roush Axle backs, Roush Upper Grill, windshield decal.

I love it but one thing I've been wondering if I can buy GT Hood vents off ford parts or anywhere and have them installed. Obvisously I know some cutting will be required but it's worth it IMO. If anyone knows anywhere I can buy them or if this is even possible please let me know.

Yeah I've seen those. I'm looking for black ones if possible to match since I don't have any other Carbon fiber.

I'm betting it'd be easier to buy a GT hood.

The vents are just carbon fiber replacements. You would have to have the hood cut.

GT hood vents in a 13' V6

I was actually tempted to do these but opted out at the last minute. I found the vents for like 150-200 and a shop was gonna do the labor for about 200.

I kinda wish these would sit flush. I can't imagine why they wouldn't.

Unless you can perfectly dent in a small surrounding area where the vent goes in, the lipping would practically sit on top of the hood. By making a small surrounding indention, the lipping of the vent would sit snug into the hole area. It all depends on what your local shops can do. Some won't even try this.

But still alot cheaper then buying a Gt hood. Quoted about 900 from the dealer for an Unpainted one with the vents. Painting something like a hood will run 150-300 depending on who you can get to do it.

If its OEM look you want then you will pay OEM price

My 2014 V6 with GT hood with GT vents. All Ford OEM parts.

My car had scaffolding fall on it from some tards that were working across the street from my work. The GT hood and vents were actually $49 cheaper than the regular V6 hood. No idea why.

One issue is that if you have a CAI, the back side of the filter will actually be exposed to rain/snow from the vents.

Air Punch Flange Tool

You'll want to practice on sheet metal of similar gauge. Little tougher as the mustang hoods are aluminum, but you'll get a feel for it with some practice.

Why do you have Roush badges on your car if it's not a Roush? Why not buy a real Roush V6?
