TMI Racing Seats

A year in and I already gotta get rid of the stock seats. The fabric on these is brutal. Looking to get these TMI seat covers/foam installed. Anyone have any experience with this product or TMI?

Scottydsntknow had them in his Mustang he just sold. It was a 96-98 model, but they were TMI foams and leathers. He said they are pretty good and install isn't too bad if you read the instructions and really take your time.

Ouch on the price! Have you checked with a local apolsterer to see what they would charge you to make a set? I had the leather seat covers removed from my 2011 a year ago to have red leather centers sewn in. Total bill was under $325.00, including labor.

There are lots of posts complaining about the leather quality from the factory Ford leather seats on the 2011 to 2013's. I must be a rare one, as my Mustang had 35K on its seats, with no wear. The seats were still like factory condition when I sold it. I used good leather treatment twice a month.

Either that, or the cows killed to provide the leather during these years had better food to eat, producing a better/stronger hide/skin.

I don't even have the leather in my V6. I have the terrible sport fabric cloth seat covers. And the price is steep but it's actually a new seat back with more bolstering that are much sportier than what comes from Ford. It's essentially a new seat that works with the factory frames.

Yeah for that price I'd just get legit racing seats like Corbuea and upholster or delete the back seats.

Ahh, the trade-offs. TMI option allows me to keep my 6-way power frames. Aftermarket saves the cash. Thanks for the input, guys.
