I used to live in Lake Jackson, about 40 miles south of you. I friggen miss Texas.

Oh that's awesome! I live in Pike Creek in Wilmington. I'm down in Middletown all the time for work though. We should meet up some time! I'd really like to see your car in person.
As long as the weather is not raining or snow. I'll be there. Come on over. Lots of nice cars. Its not just mustangs. All makes and models. Some wicked nice stuff there. One guy had a 90's 900 HP Supra. Sweet looking it was. Another guy had a 1000 HP Dodge Viper. Several mustangs there as well.

Yeah but tuners like MPT/Lund/AED do remote datalog tunes which are basically "dyno tunes" as in they give you a baseline canned tune and specific instructions on what they need as far as datalogs and when you send them back they'll burn you a specific tune for your specific car. Tuning has come a long way... This is why when ppl say "can't I just get a bama/steeda tunes for life?" a lot of people on here say to go with one of the remote tuners vs a canned one. Bama and Steeda are canned tunes. They're much better than the stock tune don't get me wrong, but its still a "one size fits all" tune.

Bama vs MPT

Try calling Bama and have them datalog your car to fine tune...good luck. When I called them months ago and was running their 91 race tune, I asked them to datalog my car and improve it because I felt in no way the performance and driveability gains they claim. I got a bunch of excuses that there was no need to datalog, the tune was running fine, the numbers were good, "we only datalog if there is a problem" (actual phrase I got...).

Said screw that...went to Swanson in Southern CA (best mustang tuner/mechanic in the Los Angeles area...) did a dyno tune in 1.5 hours...COMPLETE DIFFERENT CAR.

Best $350 investment I did.

I'm sorry to hear that from a customer service rep. I had a few data logs in the past with Bama and never was an issue. They gladly did it. I have both MPT and Bama and really happy with both of them.

Have any news on the tune? I'm on the fence about a tuner for my car. I know I want one. But I don't know if I want to go with an MPT tune or have a mustang shop do it here locally. On one hand it's cheaper by $180 to get 3 MPT tunes and have them revise them for 6 months. But the shop here does the same thing but charges for a new tune after dialing in the single tune you buy with the SCT. Also can I ask them to turn off my PATS?

The email tunes for the newer cars can do everything that a local dyno tune can and often better because the datalogs let them tune for street driving vs sitting on a dyno with a fan blowing over the radiator.

Unless you drive on the streets with a fan blowing on your radiator. Ha ha ha! But to touch on what you said. You have a point and if I were to ever get a custom dyno I think I would look for someone who uses a mustang dyno or loaded dyno so its numbers are real similar to street based numbers.

Lots of ppl with Coyotes and GT500s swear by AED/Lund/VMP/MPT etc... I know for a fact the 5.4L GT500 guys are almost all running email tunes from one of these (usually VMP) with spectacular results. Just saw one sell on SVTP with a TVS 2.3L swap making 700+ on an email tune from VMP lol.

Bama vs MPT

They just came out with a tentative schedule for the track this year and it It looks like the first opportunity I'll have is April 1.

Sorry for the disappointment guys!

Just from street driving you can tell the MPT is way more aggressive than the Bama. I feel like the Bama 93R is a more comfortable daily driver, but the MPT is a lot more fun for messing around.

I will say my gas mileage sucks with the MPT. I'm lucky if I get a combined 20 mpg. As it sits now, I believe it's indicating 15 mpg lol. I don't really care about gas mileage much especially now that it's so cheap.
