Borla break in period?

I just installed borla s-types on my 3.7 and have heard a lot of people talk about a break in period. I already like the sound but am just wondering what this break in period means. Is it supposed to quite down/get louder? Tone deepen? I am just curious.

I floored my car as soon as I was done with the install. I didn't break them in at all.

But seriously after several hundred miles they will get a hair deeper due to the carbon build up.

About a week after I installed my Borla S-Types, they got a bit deeper and a tad louder. Just perfect for what I was looking for

Cool I think they sound great now, but a bit louder and deeper won't hurt!
