slicks and skinnies takes a ton of rotating weight out, plus the obvious traction benefit. I can see it, but its a pretty "dedicated" set up, something i wouldnt call "street trim." Not saying these cars are gutted to the bone, but theres probably some weight reduction in there somewhere making up for the lack of HP.

Really?! Damn...thats nuts! I guess it makes sense having it fully built up like that...Ive never used slicks i know they help traction but thats about it. dropped weight would account for that too...

Yeah, a 17 x 4.5 front rim and 15 x 8 or 10 rear lol. You're talking probably less than half what your rims weigh now.

Correct, the 12.2 and 12.3 did remove their seats for the runs, the 12.50 was full street trim, stalled auto, ported heads and intake, shorties, O/R x, and drag radials.
