I've said it b4, it's only the mustang crowd, I see argue about this crap.

The vette guys do not talk crap, about a base c6 compared to the zr1.

I think that's the way it should be, support your own, give the Chevy and Dodge guys a hard time.

Thats because 3/4 of the owners are retired senior citizens and the rest are just too stoked to own a Vette

First of all, I don't give a rats azz what you drive. If you love it, then it's good.
Remember I said that.

Unfortunately, here's what I've found:

In my experience it's mostly V6 owners over compensating and often making ridiculous claims about how their V6's are somehow better/faster/cheaper/whatever than V8's and when you call them on it they basically pull the Race card and all hell breaks loose. (see how I used the race card? LOL)

Dudes, we don't give a rip about V6 vs. V8's....YOU DO!
So stop whining, complaining and comparing, we're all sick of it.
And no, you can not put 10 grand into a otherwise stock V6 and make 750+RWHP that is reliable enough to be a daily driver.
Yeah, I haven't forgotten about you, idiot.
So grow up and shut up, you only show your penis envy with every ridiculous post you make.

Have you ever seen a V8 guy start a thread bashing V6's?

No?

That's because we don't care, so get over it.

Now remember what I said:
I don't give a rats azz what you drive. If you love it, then it's good.
Now stop whining and go enjoy your pony.

V-6 hate by older GT owners

Actually you can put in less than 10k and make 750+ rwhp, assuming it's the 3.7, do the LPF single turbo which is around $6k and that can boost you up to 700 with enough boost, and it has been done on the stock internals, ask Connor Lamphier, or as most people know him and the car by "Killer 6". Even then you have another $4k to play with for a forged motor and make even more power......

Just playing devils advocate.

And that's a reliable daily driver?
No cams or porting? Nothing?
That I'd have to see.

He put the turbo on when it had 7k miles, it now has over 40k. He was boosting it with nitrous wanting the motor to blow. He got tired of waiting because he had a forged one he wanted to go in. Ran it past 700 on stock internals waiting for it to give.

Soccer-...Thats just 1 guy so far...look at Alifire or alfire...whatever, anyway his took a crap on him at just over 460-470whp. Blames the tuning which is understandable but from the thread it sounded like her kept having things go wrong here and there from the start. So far its still sounds like a lot of work in progress. 4 k to build a motor isnt much, if your buying a crate engine built for boost you might be able to find one or if you do all the work yourself with a modest amount of parts.

I know Alrefire personally so I've seen more than just what is posted on the forum. Believe me when I say he just had crappy luck.

ya i figured as much. Didnt make sense ANY of the issues he kept having...****, i had a boosted Hyundai Accent running on all stock motor and tune with a 14b turbo. Damn thing ran to about 165-170 whp before i came up on any issues and that was at 10 psi...ran it 3 year over 35k miles daily...no idea how or why it didn't blow sooner.

Hassan needs to build this motor up right and get this thing rolling....and calm the **** down too lol...damn kid reminds me of the squirrel from the movie Hoodwinked after he had coffee....

Lol. He's dealing with a lot of stuff right now. But he has a brand new motor in the car he got for cheap and it's running great. And the old motor is completely torn down. He is getting forged internals for it and is going to build that one up. And he is FINALLY following his own advice and doing suspension work. He was the one who convinced me to go down the road of suspension, and his is stock and mine has a ton done to it lol.

Agreed, It would be so nice if the moderators would shut down any thread with the word "hate" in the title. Especially during this Holiday Season. Good will and all that . . . . just saying'

I've known Justin for a while, and my coined catch phrase with him and LPF is that his mouth moves faster than his cars do. We've still yet to actually see a 600-700 whp dyno, or a 10 second time slip, just ambiguous street racing videos for promotion. When i was grilling them in the original thread, he actually called me out at a meet for "trying to make things too scientific." ... I'm sorry, are you telling me that you didnt approach building a turbo kit in a scientific manner? I'd steer clear and set my sights on that new MPT turbo kit, you'll probably have better luck, but thats all i have to say about that.

It's going to get much worse though... We're ALL fixing to get our asses handed to us by 4 CYL MUSTANGS!!!!!
That will just be HORRIBLE!

Maybe it's time for us to bury the hatchet guys. We all need to band together against this coming "EcoBoost Scourge". It may take all of the strength of our combined cylinders to fight them off!
If we belittle them enough, maybe they'll think that their cars aren't worth modding and it will buy us all some time.

So what do you say guys? A truce so that we can fight our common enemy?
I got beat in my 2013 GT by a 2015 EcoBoost 4cyl. They turned in 12.1 on racegas , boosted boost, and slicks. I got a 13.1 due to street tire spin.

I had a 2013 V6 that did about 325hpr on 93 octane MPT tune with Steeda CAI and 3.55 gear. Turned 5.4 sec 0-60s in that making 300hpr 3Vs hate

ArtU, you have to leave the line sooner. The light was green and you were still sitting there. You should be leaving at some point on the last yellow. I think that EcoBoost did the same thing. If you would have left sooner, he wouldn't have gotten as far out at the finish line.

Not of 700 whp or a 10 second pass, unless i seem to have missed them somehow. Point being, I dont believe a 700 whp v6 daily on stock motor is something people should set their hopes for; the 5.0s are on borrowed time at 700 whp, and they're only having to make about 75% of the power per cylinder a v6 is.

I've never understood buying a 6 then spending thousands to match v8 power, just get the 8. Now I do understand getting a 6 for lower insurance and gas mileage. I personally prefer v8's just for the sound. I just bought a 2015 and it has more power than I'll ever need. I will also add this, I've never heard of anyone regretting buying a v8, but I know people including myself regretting getting a v6. I'm not bashing the v6, I think it's a great deal for the power you get but for me I'm willing to spend the extra $ for the v8.

Hello

Kind of funny that so many V-8 guys are trolling down here on the V-6 page.

I guess we did hit a sore spot.

Lighten up Francis

Cars are cars. After you crew one of these Abrams, your big motor and horsepower claims seem silly.
