What do you think about v6 owners putting boss/shelby decals all over the place? Just thought I'd ask, since were on this subject.
Just decals nothing else

I think it's stupid. Making a car what it's not, I'm just referring to having decals/stickers. Not grills or anything, because if I had a 13' gt or v6 I'd put in the different grills. I think that's different

I'm not a sixer hater. I used to have an 04 sixer myself. Just was curious about other people's thoughts on that

I've got many friends that drive Cyclones. One in particular who loves to rev her automatic at me at lights. She always used to ask, "Why don't you ever rev back? Just hold the brakes and rev with the other foot..." For one, that's not smart at all in traffic and two...

I told her to hop in. With my foot on the brake, I gave it a good rev and threw her forward. Let me see you do that in your 3.7

There is an 03 GT in my neighborhood that is a "Phobra", badged and trim only. Only issue we had was he not saying at first , Its a Phobra, but a Cobra. Then folks found a 2V under the hood a few weeks later.

My GF has a Gt500 clone. We've got her a gt500 hood, wing, the CDC Grille delete, and at some point we'll get the quad exhaust. She specifically told me, "I want 3.7 badges so people dont think i'm a poser." Good woman lol, she's a keeper, because a "fobra" is all to easy to spot.

Most phobras dont have the right spoiler with 3rd brake light or they have the wrong hood.
I did however met a guy with a sc gt that did try to make a clone and got everything right even deleted his antenna but at least he could back up his fakeness

What were you driving then? I had a used '72 Seabring plus 400/4v and still it was slower than my Cyclone 3.7 I had. Folks got it great right now, that is why I jumped in to get one.

There's an all stock 00-01 sixer that has boss stickers. And it doesn't even have authentic badging, placed hockey stripe down side and then put boss wherever on side. And IMO it looks little "ricerish" haha.
Didn't know how other people felt, or mustang is mustang regardless.

LMAO!!! You guys STILL going on about this? I thought this thread died on the 1st page....
There are plenty of idiots in every group who ruin it for everyone. Ive seen some knarly rice burning Mustangs. Big wings, Euro tail lights, fake *** ebay scoops...its sad but most usually fit in the "Ignorant fool" category. Its not categorized by race or stereo type...it could be anyone...**** we have quite a few on this site as well as the Cyclone FB page and many others...its just sad...

V-6 hate by older GT owners

My sister always wanted a Cobra II but couldn't afford one, so my brother and I painted her base Mustang like one back in the early 1980s. It was the only brown one around, since Ford never made a brown Cobra II.

Wasn't an argument and that was number 4 on my reasons to NOT live there anymore, underneath way too expensive gas prices, cost of living and lack of work

I've had several GTs in the past and bought the 3.7 due to the killer deal I got on it. I needed a commuter with good gas mileage and dollar for dollar was the cheapest fastest mod friendly if I chose to bang for the buck. It's impressive for a v6 but a long shot from a coyote. Yes I've outran an 03 bolt on Mach 1 and a few 05-09 gt's. I messed with a coyote once and thought I was doing good until he floored it then I realized I wasn't doing so well. Not hating on the GT at all I still like the Mach 1 and 05-09 cars. I think it's cool that the 3.7 runs like it does compared to the older GTs but that's the way technology works. I love my 3.7 but I won't be retiring with it. It will be replaced within the next year.

V6 hate by older gt owners. Honestly this is the most attention i have paid to a v6 mustang before. I have yet to see one in my area with a turbo, blower, nitrous, built motor. I would love to see one but pretty much anyone building a car for racing will get a gt, shelby, etc... 8.8 rear end/more hp and tq/stronger transmissions/ stronger bottom end to support more abuse. Note: theres that one person that will throw thousands to build a v6 to out do v8's. Remember there is a v8 guy out there doing everything you are doing to your v6 to their car as well. Just my thoughts on this

As a 3v owner I used to take offense to this. But when I started racing I was shown the truth. My advice to 3.7 guys is go race a 4.6 1st and then see if you have room to talk such a big game then.
