'13-14 swappable GT parts

Hey guys, today I was sitting here wondering what could I do to make my car perform better(like I always am) and I started to think about which parts from the stock GT are swappable to our v6 That would provide a performance upgrade.

The engine
But as far as part swaps go you are better off looking towards the aftermarket

Haha!! Really, nothing at all? I read something about the brakes for minor improvement. I would totally go aftermarket but I can get ford parts virtually free through my work so that's why I'm seeing what I can pull off of a GT haha

The only thing I can think of is the throttle body, but I really think that is pointless

If you're going I do the strut tower brace it's got to be from the boss. The OEM GT strut tower brace won't clear the intake manifold of the V6.

Strut tower brace!! Nice thought!

Throttle body? Will that bolt right onto the v6?

And yeah I think I'm definitely going to pick up the rotors.

Throttle body will not bolt up. Requires machining

You will need the GT caliper brackets to make the GT rotors fit. If you could get me a set of GT brackets too I would make it worth your while or at least the part #s. They seem to be hard to find.

This is the Boss strut tower I have on my 3.7? I thought I had a plain jane gt strut tower brace. (Its black because I painted it).

The only thing I know of that is swappable and would make an improvement, is the struts and shocks. And that was only when you could get take-offs from Roush really cheap. Everything else is designed for the added weight of the 5.0 and not worth the effort. I would recommend going with the FRPP N springs if you want to lower the car, but everything else, look to your goals and find a manufacturer that delivers that. For my wants, I went with the Whiteline suspension parts and Koni shocks/struts.

OEM GT shocks / struts / springs will bolt right up to a v6, we've done it, and it actually sits quite well with the Eibach sportline springs (the 1" GT drop, i believe its the sportlines)
Really suspension pieces are the only things worth bringing over, but all those pieces should just be swapped with aftermarket if you're going through the trouble.

The 5.0 and V6 use the exact same caliper, the GT just uses a 13.2" Rotor and the V6 a 12.5", so you'll need the larger GT caliper Carrier to clear the larger rotor. I bought my Fiance' a set of 5.0 take offs from a guy that swapped to Brembos and got Calipers, pads, rotors shipped for $170. Just the new carriers themselves from Ford are $150 so its worth taking a look. That being said, most people that swap to Brembos race, and the kit i bought had been trashed, going to need a complete rebuild as far as the boots and seals are concerned, but thats another $30 in the grand scheme of things; i'll make a thread on it here soon.

Yep the Boss and V6 with performance pack use the same STB. It arches up more than the OEM GT brave to clear the intake. Same as the V6.

This is the OEM strut brace for the 3.7
It comes with the Performance Package, or after-market.

Also too the GT 500 STB works as well. i have one off an 07 GT500...its a little tight closing the hood but all in all it works.

Doesnt bolt up but you could always have it welded in...the GT H pipe fits right up in there as well. I had my oem mid pipe cut out and the GT H slipped right over the pipes and the shop just welded from there...10 min job.

Please do...Im 100% a visual learner and you can tell me all day how to do it and Ill still question if im doing it right. At least if i see someone in the process of swapping the rotors or doing the suspension I'll be good to go.

I am pretty pleased with my brembo conversion.
