On mine there is a delay in the shift after you press it.

I have the same problem as far as up shift is concerned, when downshifting It works instantly every time, could it be a contact issue?

Thats the same exact problem but I jst fixed it right now. What I did was shove a flat head screw driver through the chrome part of the knob where the + is and then with a keyboard air cleaner sprayed it a few times and now it works perfectly.

Had mine replaced by the dealership . Now I just use my paddle shifters to avoid wearing out the shifter buttons

Is it the $250 kit from eBay? How's it working out for you? How about shift delays? Is shifting just quick as manual select shift using (+/-)?

Yup those are it. They work great. They have maybe a tenth of a second delay compared to the shift buttons, but they help out alot when weaving thru traffic and curvy roads. Allows me to keep both hands on the wheel.
