Strut tower brace on sale again! Go go go

Thought I'd let everyone know that CJ has their Strut Tower Brace Boss 302 style back on sale for $69.99 (cheapest it ever goes).

Mustang Strut Tower Brace V6/GT 2010-2014/2012-2013 Boss 302

I didn't pick it up last time they had it for that price. Definitely picking it up this time!

Holy crap. I purchased my Boss strut tower brace from CJ pony parts back in July 2013 and paid $119. What a deal, 69.99. That's freaking incredible price

You will barley feel it but it's there..... I say it's 60% worth it for the $70 and only 30% worth it for full price, better to have it and not need it, then to not have it and need it, yah dig?

Totally agree. So not worth the $ 119.99 I paid. Hard to believe but back in July 2013 the Boss Strut Tower Brace was on sale and a good price for back then. It was regularly selling for $169.99. I can't say the car feels any different when cornering but I'm not track racing it.

To be completely honest, I really purchased the thing out of peer pressure because so many other people have them. Ha ha ha. I do like the way it makes the engine bay look and always felt my engine bay was missing something besides two more cylinders. Ha ha ha.

Having a wanna be Boss I needed the Boss strut tower brace. Lol. 70 dollars is a great deal.

Weight reduction is definitely a key when drag racing. I'm thinking of doing some weight reduction deletes myself. Here is my potential list:

Antenna delete
Side mirrors delete
Rear view mirror delete
Back and front seats delete (gonna sit on milk crate)
Hood delete
Spoiler delete
Windshield wipers delete
Headlights delete
Trunk delete
Steering wheels delete
Door deletes
Radio delete
Cup holder delete
Truck emblem delete
Front pony emblem delete

Gonna have my 72 pound 10 year old daughter drive the pony.

so, in their installation instructions, they note:

"For owners installing the Boss 302 Strut Tower Brace on any Mustang with factory strut towers, Ford recommends that the four inside nuts on the strut tower, which will need to be removed for installation, are only used one time. To replace them, the Mustang Ford Upper Strut Mount Nut Set is a four pack of nuts (two will be needed on each side) that can be installed with the strut tower brace and torqued to factory specifications (25 ft./lbs. +/- 3 ft./lbs.)."

is this true? should we really use new nuts on this or can we just use the stock ones? i was planning to just use what came with the car.

I'm not sure if my old nuts would still work now. I might need some new nuts.

thanks again for the heads up! got mine today, and installed in 5 minutes. honestly, i do feel a bit of a handling difference. feels tighter, a bit more responsive in steering, and bumps feel more uniform. overall, it looks cool, actually does something for handling, and was only 70 bucks. good find!!

didn't have a torque wrench on hand, so i just tightened em to what it felt like when i took them off. dad's got one though, so on the weekend we're gonna set it to 26 ft lbs like they say and see if it was close.
