Lol I go to the track twice a week pal, corrected DA I run 11s at 120 on street tires. 😄😄

I'm kind of glad that the auto 14's aren't good burnout machines....my wife would be replacing her tires frequently.

Yes it's tuned. I just power brake until the tires start to spin, then let off the brakes and floor it.

Last day I tried doing burnout at first nothing happened the rpm got stuck around 2000. I had forgotten to close the advance trac however traction control was off. Later on I did the method that someone has explained in this topic and it worked. Shifted up to 3 in sport mode and then lowered the gears to 1 and it started to do a burnout. The car is an auto.

I can't see these being good on a transmission at all, even as just a once in a while thing. It's much safer to get the torque management deactivated with a tune.

I would stay away from this method as there is no way of knowing what kind of damage it is doing to your transmission.

Thanks for the info.
So you have to press the stability control button twice? Is that correct?
Are all later model manuals equipped with this feature?

While holding the brake press the button twice. But the sports mode on the automatic is referring to shifting it into S with higher shift points or manual shifting.

Not all V6's are equipped with Sport Mode.

"AdvanceTrac Sport Mode
• AdvanceTrac is standard and includes Sport Mode
on GT Premium models and with available V6
Performance Package
• Sport Mode is a unique calibration of AdvanceTrac,
allowing for more spirited driving with AdvanceTrac
still enabled."

Yes some V6 Manuals do have Sport Mode, as Diehard said, it just turns the nannies down but not off.

All 3.7s with the performance pack have the advancetrac sport mode. Base models do not. Press the brake in and double tap the traction control button

Do you know what "advancetrac" (electronic stability control) does for you? Well in the sport mode it will do a little less. You may never notice it.
So I take it you have the Performance Package?

^this is correct. Base models don't have sport mode traction.
Sport mode in autos when referring to the shifter only came on 13-14s not 11-12s.

So to the poster that came up with the brake / 3rd gear / downshift into1st gear how did you find that out? Was it a rental or do you abuse your own car?
