Question New Key Program

I was wondering what key to buy online for a 2013 mustang v6. I want the buttons to be functional. The only problem is I only have one key and it's the only one I will ever have... No spare atm. All the programming instructions I can find you have to have at least two keys. Anyway to program a new key with one key. Also my key is stuck on mykey that's the whole reason for the new key. So basically need a New admin key. Thanks in advance!

You will have to go to the dealer to have a new key programmed, and made admin. With only one key you can't program any other keys yourself (keeps valets from making duplicates).

$100-200.

Make 2 because you need 2 to make a 3rd. This way if you ever loose one you can avoid the dealer next time.

Talked to a ford dealer and he said around 250 for the key then 60 for programming. Seems like a rip off. Ill try another dealer there is like 3 or 4 around where I live thank god.

you can buy keys on line but for the 1st one you need a dealer program...maybe ask for a package deal. The only thing I know about online ones is to look at your key it'll have either RA or SA on it. That makes a differance I think it is the number of bits in the security code.

Your getting ripped off with $310 for a new key and programming. I just had one done back in the summer it cost me $70 $25 for key $45 for programming. I also bought a $20 plastic part I needed which my total bill was around $90

I THINK the SA has more bits in the security code.....neither is good or bad (but we both know more is better) I would when asking for price if the dealers are close stopping buy in person and suggest you are looking for a servicing dealer (which you will at least for wtty work) and maybe they'll cut you a price break.
