Sounds like a fun setup, make sure to post a sound clip once you have it all installed

The intake may help a little with the new exhaust note. I have used Flowmasters, Magnaflow, and Borla but not MBRP. Let us know what you think after the install.

I actually was debating to get their setup for my 2011 Mustang. I then decided it was too quiet and ponied "no pun intended" up the money to get something louder.

If you are working on a budget then this setup makes sense.

My dilemma is i didn't want to get something i may not like 2-3 months down the road, and if i am gonna do it, i wanna do it right the first time. So if you have any doubt, do lots of research before settling.

I probably spent a week or two researching, reading reviews, and watching sound videos before settling.

The Lethal Performance H-pipe necks down to 2.25" to fit with stock exhaust while the cat-back system you got says 2.5" the whole way back. Any concerns about this?

Shouldn't be a concern because this is what every exhaust for our cars does.

Actually a lot of them stay at 2.25" like Borla. And I meant more of a concern with the fit. It looks like the ends of the H-pipe slide into the cat-back exhaust and I was just wondering if there is going to be a gap or if the pipe will have to be widened to fit.

with the lethal H it should be louder that was one of my deciding factors on it actually. I didnt want it to be so loud (pype bombs for ex).... we will see lol.

Borla does stay 2.25", but most are 2.5". All catbacks neck down to 2.25" to mate to the midpipe, and all 2.5" midpipes neck down to 2.25" to mate to the catback.

OP, it should be a nice and LOUD setup. Addition of resonators should mellow it out and eliminate some of the buzzy sounds.

Im really hoping it has a tone to it and its just not LOUD lol. blah. Ima see how it is with out the resonators first before I start cutting and welding into my brand new exhaust.

Be prepared for your car to drop some weight. Stock mufflers alone are like boat anchors. I weighed mine when i removed them and they came out to 42-45 lbs. the borlas were about 20 lbs.

Just realize, the MBRP has a great tone with the stock midpipe.

You don't have that, so you know nothing about the tone. Going from your mid to the Lethal H will be a sound INCREASE because you are ditching two resonators. That setup will sound amazing below 3000rpm. From 2500-3500 at part throttle there will be some buzz, and WOT you will push through the buzz and get into a great loud tone again.

It's the nature of the beast.

You don't need to worry about that, because the second you remove the Cats and Resonators off of the 3.7 you will have all kinds of noises you don't want

I'm afraid your not going to get a Low rumble with an off road anything with the 3.7...... I hope the mbrp is a semi to quiet AB/cat back by itself or your in for a surprise. Are you going to complete this exhaust set up with headers in the future?

Over a year old thread. Sorry for the Necro Post.

Just wanted to see what the OP ended up doing.

I am the point with my cars build that I am not even sure if I want to spend any more money dealing with the sound. Seems to be a loss cause to make these cars sound any good at WOT.

The weight loss of my new bassani's & DSS aluminum drive shaft has made my pony sound and go much better. I'm still running an SCT "canned" 93 octane tune, waiting on an MPT tune.
