Tires for stock rims

what is the best tire size for the stock rims that come on the v6. I want to go thicker due to the new gears I got(3.73) and suggestions? I think stock is 215 im not sure all the specs.

You won't get very thick tires on the skinny stock rims. Maybe 235-240 at best.

In having a pair of 255's put on my stock 18x8's in an hour and I'll let you know how they run!

Those will be a stretch. But there's no way 255s will work on the base 17" rims reliably.

a 245 is really the max on an 8" rim, hell my 255s were flush on an 8.5" ... as far as the stock 17 x 7s, you're really limited to something like a 225 at best, but even then... its a tiny rim man, just not much you can do about it.

My 2011 V6 came with 17 x 8s. The tire was a 225R60 x 17.

I put 255/45/18 on my stock 18x8 wheels. Don't look stretched to me.
I think it also depends on the brand of tire that is being installed.

What tires are you running and how do you like them?

Mickey thompson street comps, so far I am happy with them. Only have 2k miles on them and it's winter time here, so can't really give a complete opinion on them.

So you're running a 255/45 on all four or just the backs?
