My Winter mod builds list:

So iv been thinking what i can do for my car while it's in my garage in the winter since I don't drive her in this weather..

1st: I did some stripes install, I went with the rtr look.

2nd: I got the Jlt catch can passenger side.

I sold my stock wheels and tires to have extra cash for some appearance mods.

So this is what I ordered hopefully will be coming next week: gt500 spoiler pre painted, roush front splitter, and redline hood struts.. Will be installing them next week I'll post some progress here hopefully it's not too hard.

MPT TUNE, Borla S-Type, Airaid Cai, Ford racing X pipe, Mac ceramic shorty headers, 2010 GT500 rims, 35% tint, Sr Springs, J&M phb, camber bolts, blacked out side markers, front and taillights.

Sounds like you definitely have your work cut out for you over the winter! Are you going to be doing a Paint Matched Spoiler? I just saw someone local that had a Black GT500 Spoiler and it looked pretty sick!

The Roush splitter can be a little tricky. Just take your time and follow the instructions. Also, you might want a body saw, you have to do some cutting.

The red line tuning struts are on my list for the spring. They're quality.
GT500 spoiler will look awesome on your car. I still can't get over how nice that color is.
Don't forget to add ported intake mani's to that list!

The redline struts are an amazing mod, i love mine, and it makes getting around in the engine bay so much easier. That being said ... make sure you pay close attention to which hole on the fender you use to mount them. I made the mistake of choosing the one that was slightly too far back, and my hood opened almost completely vertical. I thought it was great and offered tons of space until i realized i couldnt even reach up to grab it to close it lol and i'm 6'0.

The Roush is pretty tricky, but its not terrible, i believe its CJ pony parts that has a video on youtube where they walk you through the whole thing, makes life a lot easier.

I didn't know that there's more holes to choose for the hod struts which one is best? Thanks for the heads up.

For the roush splitter I followed the video step by step I already took everything out just waiting for the splitter to come in and install them.. Ups where are you dammit... Lol..

The right ones lol, there's just a few holes in the same area, so you have to pay close attention to the install instructions.

That's funny! When I did mine (They were MMD) I mounted them on the forward bolt and couldn't close my hood. Had to move them to the back bolt. With a 50/50 chance we both struck out. LOL

Hmmm should i take the middle bolt then? I haven't really look at it since I'm still waiting for my hood struts to come.. How many bolts are there any way?

Guys I need your advice to make it easier for me, tomorrow I will try to take off my stock spoiler for my gt500 spoiler, what are the easiest method to take it off other than the putty knife and fishing line in afraid to scratch up the paint..

Did you scratch any paint? Did you use towel to cover the knife? How hard was it?

Oops.. Hopefully just the stock spoiler, how did you use the butter knife or how did you even fit it in there? It's tight..

shunc...regarding the hood struts...Mine was a different name so the design might have been a bit different.(Length, or whatever.) Like I believe Voltwings mentioned, look up the video for it on youtube if the instructions don't make it clear. Youtube has videos on all major brands, etc.

Regarding your spoiler... I have no first hand experience but I thought I saw somewhere that they taped all the exposed finished area around the work area to help protect the finish. That, in addition to using something reasonably safe for prying purposes. Don't rush!

Thank you I will watch some videos regarding the hood struts..

For the spoiler there's nothing online to watch it for installation, I like the tape idea so I will do that it make sense thanks every little idea helps appreciate it sir.

On another note I never knew that about the hood struts, need to check those bolts. I'm thinking about getting the mmd ones. So those would have to be on the back bolts, to what Die said on his installation?

Yeah it was kinda funny because when I couldn't close my hood I didn't know what to do. I immediately went and googled it and I was real lucky because the vid I happen to hit was one that mentioned putting it on the wrong bolt first.
Love that Google and Youtube!

Well mine is an 05 so it is different, but I pulled up on the spoiler until there was some separation and then I put the knife in

Okay thanks, I will try to do this appreciate it.. Probably I will tape up the butter knife too, it makes more sense since butter knife is much sturdier than putty knife and tape up around the stock spoiler.
