Why no BBK H pipe

I wonder why BBK doesn't make an H pipe to go with its long tube headers. They have the x pipe but no H!

It would be nice to see one, but more than likely, you'd have to get a custom h pipe made

Depending where in MD you are, I know a great performance exhaust shop that could build you one.

Really, where is this shop. I'm on the upper eastern shore.

ARH makes an h-pipe for their longtubes but they're a bit pricey. I have a custom one with my Borla longtubes and I love it

I wonder how much different a tone will get from a custom H pipe compared to my x pipe I have now?

Volume is about the same, tone is lower, and rasp is much more subdued. I had the Borla x-pipe that came with the headers on for about 2 days before modifying my Lethal Performance h-pipe to fit.

That's what I would have done had I not already had the Lethal h-pipe. A factory GT h-pipe can be found pretty easily and for a good price.

You have a off road GT H pipe laying around? Lol. Is the GT H pipe a different length than my 3.7 bbk off road x pipe?

Is the factory GT H-pipe 3" dia?
Does it get welded in downstream of the existing resonators?
Does the installer provide the transition pieces? (2 1/4" to 3" and then back to 2 1/4")
That's 8 welds. What's that going to cost?

Its not O/R but it fits pretty snug over the factory piping. I was stock and cut out the mid pipe and welded a stock GT H in there.

No transition you can if you want but a stock GT H is about 2.5"-2.75" it slides over the existing 2.25" piping really snug. It doesn't interfere with flow or anything. At least nothing you can feel.
