JBA Stainless vs Ceramic shorty headers

Searched and didn't find a conclusive answer. I know ceramic are better than chrome when it comes to the headers, but JBA offers their shorty style in 409 stainless as well. After discounts the price difference between the two is about $108 with the stainless being less. Does anyone know if the ceramic coating is applied to the stainless headers, or are they mild steel with the coating applied? Descriptions state that the type of steel depend on the finish, but then doesn't specify which is which. I think I'm going to opt for the titanium ceramic coating, but the stainless intrigues me as well.

Haven't found many reviews on these for our 3.7's as everyone seems to have the Mac or BBK headers. It may sound vain, but the titanium coating will match the black Airaid filter I want, and not stand out like the silver ceramic coating or stainless.

Stainless is just stainless. It's not ceramic coated. You can buy ceramic coating to spray onto and then bake the stainless though.

The headers that are ceramic coated are mild steel.

Also the JBA headers are 1-1/2" while the MAC's are 1-5/8" and the BBK's are 1-3/4".

That's what I was looking for. Wonder if the smaller diameter will make installation any easier, lol.

I highly doubt it. Its not really the size of the pipe, its the bends.

Also the JBA flanges are mild steel not stainless. Only the tubing itself is stainless.

That's what she said, lol.

Probably going with the titanium ceramic coated ones, then. The color will match the black filter on an Airaid intake.

I do not find that JBA offers any headers for the V6, including the company's site. I would be interested in a link.

I've read that about BBK, Mac, and JBA. Any manufacturer can have an issue once in a while.

And here's the non-mobile link:
